Small in size but big on talent, the FiiO M6 is a miniature audiophile player designed to offer the sound quality of a high-end player in an ultra-portable format.

Based on the same ESS ES9018Q2C converter as some much more expensive models, it delivers a precise and musical reproduction, with balanced timbres and a surprisingly wide sound image for a device of this size.

The M6 embodies the philosophy of modern FiiO portable music players: simplicity, connectivity and listening pleasure.

Its modified Android system allows direct installation of the most popular streaming applications (Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify, Amazon Music…) while guaranteeing a smooth and stable experience.

With its Bluetooth LDAC / aptX HD and AirPlay function, it integrates equally well into a wireless ecosystem as into a stationary hi-fi system via USB DAC.

The whole thing is contained in a compact aluminum chassis 10 cm high and weighing only 83 g, perfectly suited for everyday listening on the go.

⚠️ Note however: the player does not support Apple Music via the native application.

Technical details & operation

The FiiO M6 is based on an ESS ES9018Q2C chip, combining digital/analog conversion and integrated amplification.

It supports PCM streams up to 384 kHz / 32 bits and DSD128, while guaranteeing a signal-to-noise ratio greater than 118 dB.

The Exynos 7270 processor ensures a smooth interface and good energy management, with approximately 13 hours of battery life.

Connectivity options include a 3.5 mm headphone output, a USB-C port (for charging, transfer and DAC), Wi-Fi, bidirectional Bluetooth 4.2 LDAC / aptX HD, and a microSD slot (up to 2 TB).

The 3.2-inch IPS screen ensures optimal user comfort despite the small size.
