Audio Garden's review

An improved version of the already excellent M11, the FiiO M11 Pro embodies the maturity of the modern audiophile portable player. By adopting a dual AKM AK4497EQ chip, inherited from much more expensive models, FiiO pushes the boundaries of mobile sound reproduction: wider dynamic range, quieter bass, and a remarkably stable soundstage.

The addition of a THX AAA-78 amplifier—rare at this price point—gives the M11 Pro power and transparency comparable to a desktop amplifier. Attacks are crisp, micro-details are better articulated, and the sense of spaciousness is enhanced.

The overall sound remains true to the FiiO signature: neutral, energetic, musical, and remarkably versatile.

Thanks to its open Android system, the M11 Pro offers direct access to major streaming platforms (Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify, etc.), while also being usable as a USB DAC or network player via AirPlay.

⚠️ However, please note: like the standard M11, the player does not support Apple Music via the native application.

Technical details & operation

The FiiO M11 Pro incorporates two AKM AK4497EQ converters, coupled with THX AAA-78 amplification modules, ensuring minimal distortion and a comfortable power reserve.

It supports streams up to 32-bit/384 kHz PCM and DSD256, for faithful and uncolored reproduction.

Beneath its brushed aluminum casing, you'll find the Exynos 7872 processor and 3GB of RAM, ensuring smooth navigation under Android 7.0.

The 5.15" (720p) IPS screen offers excellent readability and exemplary responsiveness.

The 4370 mAh battery provides approximately 9 to 10 hours of battery life, and two microSD ports allow for capacity expansion up to 4 TB.
